Kansas Sunflower Ornament

This ornament, eleventh in a series, celebrates the state flower of Kansas - the sunflower. The “Sunflower State” got its nickname because the wild sunflower, Helianthus annuus or the common sunflower, is an indigenous wildflower that grows throughout the state. The sunflower was named the official state flower in 1903, and is featured on the Kansas state flag and quarter. This ornament was released in 2017.
